Chicken Coop Building Plans

Building a DIY chicken coop for the least amount of cash is a simple process. Find a high spot where there will not be any drainage issues even after a tempest.

Establish the scale of the coop that you will need ; you may want to think about leaving extra space in your design for enlargement. Laying hens need one [*FR1 to two sq. feet of space each inside the chicken coop.

Install the door on the frame in the front and finish attaching plywood around it.

Place and install the nesting boxes in the coop along the walls. Install perches three to 4 feet from the ground and fill the nest boxes with straw. Install 4 feet high fencing around the yard and be certain and bury the bottom 12 inches in the ground to protect from predators.
